En Tafalla había varios oficios como herreros, sogueros, la imprenta de su familia y una fábrica de zapatos que dio trabajo a mucha gente del pueblo. Su mujer estuvo empleada en esa fábrica de zapatos. También hubo una fábrica de peines y una tejería.
