Su padre era de Añorbe y la madre de Murillo de Yerri, pero vivió cerca de Puente la Reina, allí conoció a su marido que trabajaba de pastor. En plena Guerra Civil se fueron a vivir a Pueyo, a los dos años arrendaron el molino.
