Hace veinte años se empezó a recordar la fuga de San Cristóbal. Se reunió un grupo de partidos y vecinos, avisando a gente de fuera de lo que había ocurrido en San Cristóbal. Se hizo un libro narrando los sucesos, pusieron un monolito junto a la carretera e hicieron un "aurresku".
