Todo el año estaban deseando que llegaran las fiestas, porque San Juan era una fiesta grande pero solo duraba un día. Las fiestas que más le gustaban a José eran las de San Miguel, sobre todo el ambiente de las charangas y las vacas. En las fiestas era muy típico el almuerzo con huevos fritos y la carne asada.
