En Mendavia se conocía el calendario por el santo que caía, esa era la forma y por eso se regía la gente. Los partos eran en casa. Recuerda que en esa época morían muchos niños al nacer; de hecho, en el cementerio había un sitio concreto para enterrar a los recién nacidos.
