Se hicieron algunas huelgas. En la huelga del 62 él estaba de vacaciones de recién casado. Hubo gente que se quedó dentro de la mina de carbón protestando. Protestaban por mejoras en el trabajo. El día que volvió a trabajar la huelga ya había acabado.
