Las pantanadas hacían que no se trabajase la tierra de Reparacea, actualmente destinada a invernaderos de gran calidad, ya que arrasaban las huertas. Estas pantanadas tenían lugar cuando llovía, se llenaba el pantano de Irabia y se abrían las compuertas.
