Su padre fue alcalde de Etxarri durante trece años, sabe que en esa época hubo jaleos por la concentración parcelaria. Había un alguacil, un médico y un secretario. Etxarri tenía ayuntamiento propio con reuniones a las que podían asistir los del pueblo.
