Por Murieta pasaba el tren, era muy cómodo con muchos horarios. La gente solía ir a Estella para hacer recados, era más cómodo que el autobús. Algunos trabajadores del ferrocarril vivieron en Murieta. Había muchos oficios relacionados con la estación de tren como el jefe de estación y el guarda agujas.
