Naengmyeon is a symphony that harmonizes with the taste and appearance of the noodles, soup, and decor. Its representative work is the Pyongyang Naengmyeon.One major characteristic that distinguishes the Pyongyang Naengmyeon, a intangible national cultural heritage number 6 in North Korea, from that of the South is that its cooking style is directly influenced and determined by the North Korean leaders. North Korea advertises that Pyongyang Naengmyeon has been re-developed and blossomed under the leadership of its leaders, Kim Il-sung, Kim Jong il, and Kim Jong-un, heralding a new era of Pyongyang Naengmyeon, and that people have been blessed yet again with this dish the leaders have created.However, the detailed instructions on the recipe for Pyongyang Naengmyeon given by the leaders themselves are not properly reflected in reality.
