This study is on the characteristics of dance appearing on Gudok Mangkkae-sori (sound with a song to chant while stone-breaking work) as a work to lay down the foundation within the traditional architecture of Busan. As an analysis of Gudok Mangkkae-sori, No. 11 of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Busan Metropolitan City, by dividing into Garae-jil and Mangkkae-jil and folk dance of Koejinaching -ching-sori that is a entertainment item after laboring, it is concluded as follows. The dance included in Gudok Mangkkae-sori is the Deotbaegi-chum of Gyeongsangdo. The Deotbaegi-chum is a local dance referring to a type of Heotten-chum that is danced along the gutgeori-jangdan . The scene to have such dance in the Maengkkae-sori would be the scenes of making the Gilnori (street play)-type entry, working scene of Garae-jil and Mangkkae-jin, and the last entertainment after ceremony of Koejinaching-ching-sori. Characteristics of dance contained in Gudok Mangkkae-sori have conspicuous natural beauty, locality and promptness. As the labor song and dance combined, Ilsori-chum, it has the structure combined with the Heotten-chum that is danced for entertainment after completing the work along with the sound making labor gesture while working in particular that it shows significant value that it is the dance related to the laying down the ground in traditional architecture of Busan.
