Paper-making is one of the four great inventions of ancient China, in the remote mountainous areas of Guizhou Province, which is not only inherited, but also have experienced innovation and development. In the summer of 2012 the author went to Guizhou to have a field study of the intangible cultural heritage base: Shi Qiao village in Danzhai County Longjing village in Zhenfeng County, Xiangzhi gou village in Wudang District. Based on the detailed information about the skills, production, sales and development prospects of the ancient paper-making, this paper from the perspective of productive protection, analyses the existing paper-making problems and crises, and puts forward some constructive opinions and suggestions.
