Laws related to various cultural properties play a complementary role in each field, and on the basis of cultural nationalism in the Constitution, the Cultural Properties Protection Act has a status as a basic law for the protection of cultural properties, but acts as a special law for the protection of cultural properties in relation to other laws and regulations. On property Laws there are exceptions related to good faith acquisition in relation to civil law. There are exceptions to environmental regulations in order to protect cultural properties in relation to natural parks act, it is playing a role of special law by imposing an exception to the Building-to-Land Ratios and Floor Area Ratios within Special-Purpose Areasaccording in the National Land Planning and Utilization Act. In the case of special act on the preservation and promotion of ancient cities, the master plan to preserve and promote ancient cities formulated under this act shall take precedence over preservation or development plans formulated under other acts: provided, that plans formulated under this act shall not take precedence over plans prescribed by presidential decree and plans for military affairs which are provided in article 6 of the Framework Act on the National Land. In the case of Act on the Safeguarding and Promotion of Intangible Cultural Heritage, provides support for international exchange of intangible cultural properties and protects intellectual property of intangible cultural properties. The overall legal framework for cultural properties encourages the implementation of various international conventions and is committed to the legal implementation of international conventions. Future legislative issues should include the improvement of the means of punishment for the protection of cultural property and the protection of private property rights, the destruction of buried cultural heritage, the introduction of registered intangible cultural heritage, the establishment of an integrated management system for advanced the preservation and promotion of ancient cities, It is also necessary to examine measures to embody the Basic Law on heritage protection and cultural heritage policy.
