This article considers some of the particularities that occur in culture and especially in its relationship with music, given the need to exalt elements of identity character that allow its conservation from the musical rhythmic, for it is considered the panorama offered by globalization with some of its most felt repercussions on culture and music; as well, the importance of education from its essence is raised, hand in hand with the contributions that can be promoted through music education, which reveals a series of conjugations and contributions that involve the socio-cultural field. Likewise, an approach is made to multiculturalism together with Intangible Cultural Heritage and the great value it holds, where it is pertinent to mention the relevance of percussion instruments for many Latin American and Caribbean countries as elements immersed in their cultures, as well as the prominence of the rhythms that through their musical genres have become national symbols and heritage of humanity. Accordingly, education is seen as a decisive factor for cultural promotion, which leads to propose a proposal aimed at articulating the learning of musical rhythmic language as part of the subject of Latin Percussion in Higher Education.
