El serrín se compraba en algunas de las serrerías existentes. Una, serrería Pujol, suministraba mucho de este serrín e incluso algunos de sus trabajadores repartían el serrín, y también la leña, a domicilio terminada su jornada laboral. Comenta que la leña y el serrín se almacenaban en un cuarto.
