En su casa siempre se valoró mucho el arte. En esa época su tío hizo muchas obras que fueron muy reconocidas, casi todas en Madrid. Trabajaba para el que le pedía un encargo independiente de su ideología. Recuerda que le hicieron un homenaje en Pamplona, se sentía muy de la tierra.
