Una de las tiendas que había en el pueblo era de las tías solteras de su abuelo. Cuenta una anécdota sobre cuando una tía fue a por suministros en burro a Tafalla. Había muchos vendedores ambulantes, recuerda a un salinero de Soria y a los tinajeros. Había costumbre de ir en tren a la feria de Tafalla.
