Su madre era de Berrioplano, cuando se casó fueron a vivir a Etxarri. Su padre tenía varios hermanos, pero no vivían en el pueblo. Recuerda como fue la herencia de su abuela, se casó dos veces, cuando murió dejó la casa a un hijo del primer matrimonio. Para recuperar la casa su padre compró la vivienda.
